Wagyu Yakiniku Slice, or boneless short rib / flanken-cut rib, is one of the most popular cuts of beef for yakiniku (BBQ or grilling). Tender and very juicy, Yakiniku Slice has more marbling than roast cuts do.
For the best flavour, cook for 80 per cent of the time on one side until the meat has a nice grilled colour, and only 20 per cent on the other side. Because of its heavy marbling, a slice of Yakiniku Slice around 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick can be ready to flip in as little as 10 seconds.
Cuts from this area are lean, very flavourful, and best when braised, or marinated and grilled. Flank steak comes from the abdominal muscles or lower chest of the cow.
All steaks are chilled not frozen. All vacuum packed.
Storage instructions : Your wagyu beef will be delicious for up to 1 week in the fridge. After this please freeze. We supply Japanese wagyu beef A5 (BMS 10-12).
